Jonah plays t-ball

Jonah played t-ball in a Bubble Gum League (through Niwot Youth Sports) for 4-5 year olds. The kids get gum after every game. Each player gets to bat and run all the bases. There aren't any outs, so the kids get to learn how the game is played, and still do all the fun stuff. Each kid has a parent out in the field with them to remind them what to do, where to throw, etc. It's hilarious. Some of them draw in the dirt, some are go-getters, and some aren't too sure exactly what to do. Jonah really loves to play. He had one practice and six games (the last one is next week).

In Jonah's words: "I like it a lot, I love baseball so much that I'm gonna play baseball when it's over at home and at the park. I stay in the dugout when it's not my turn. I catch the ball, I get grounders that they hit to me and sometimes I get to bat and that's my favorite part, and I run all around the bases. I wish that I could just bat and bat because it's my favorite. Also I really like it so much."

Here's Jonah in his Nationals uniform (the 'W' on the hat is for Washington).

The lefty at bat.

And he's off - headed towards first (go Jonah, GO!)

He's rounding third - he's gonna score - way to go!

Jonah playing third base - the look on his face is exactly how he feels about baseball.
