We took a quick trip to California at the end of February (first weekend in March).
We spent a day in Napa and toured a winery that used biodynamic farming (which is even better than organic).
We tasted some really great wine, and the scenery was pretty - even without any grapes (or leaves) on the vines.
We also went inside the underground storage which had thousands of wine barrels (which cost around $900 apiece) apparently wine-making is an expensive business.
We learned that biodynamic farming costs more than traditional farming, but is much better
for the environment. It is a no-waste process, where everything is recycled.
The next day we went to the wedding reception for Ken's brother Dan and his wife Rebecca (who were married in Hawaii in February) on the Delta King River Boat in Sacramento.
We had lots of fun visiting with everyone - even though it was only for a few hours.
