Greetings on a budget...

For our family, sending and receiving Christmas cards is a much-treasured holiday tradition. I love opening the mailbox and finding pictures and news about people that I haven't seen or connected with as well as from friends and family members that I have contact with on a regular basis. For the past several years, I have enjoyed putting together our Christmas card. It takes me on a trip through all the things we did together as a family over the past year, and reminds me of how thankful I am for the many blessings in my life.

This Christmas, the wonderful website Shutterfly is offering 50 free cards for posting this blog about some of my favorite products that they offer, so here's my take:

Christmas Photo Cards are my first choice: Being able to choose more than one of our favorite photos from the past year is fantastic. They offer regular 4x8 cards as well as 5x7 and the cute 5x5 all at great prices (even without the promo). My favorites are the folded cards printed on premium cardstock, in 5x7 size you can put photos on the outside and inside, with plenty of room for a holiday letter as well. Those of you who read this blog will likely receive one of these from us for New Years.

While I have created wall calendars in past years, I am thinking of sending desk calendars this year. While being practical (as you all know I am) they are a wonderful way to brighten anyone's desk.

Shutterfly also has amazing personalized birthday cards for sending to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone else who would love to see your smiling face.

If this hasn't encouraged you to get working on your cards, I don't know what will.
I'm looking forward to reading all those letters with a lovely cup of tea and some cookies this year!
